5. Alan Wake 2: The Lake House DLC (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC) – October TBA
Even without a specific release date beyond “October 2024”, Alan Wake is a classic October franchise for me and many others. The Lake House DLC is sure to scratch that itch.
4. Until Dawn – Remake (PS5, PC) – October 4
Yes, it’s a remake, but wow does it look good. If nothing else, it’s an excuse to replay a classic this October.
3. RetroRealms: Halloween & Ash vs Evil Dead (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC) – October 18
Might be more fun than scary, but the vibes are right for October regardless. Think of it as a safe room between the heavier releases on the list.
2 Fear the Spotlight (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PC) – October 22
Retro styling? Check. Creepy as hell looking? Check. Count me in.
1. Silent Hill 2 (PS5, PC) – October 8
I’m still in disbelief that this game is coming out. Konami tends to be in feast or famine mode with franchises, and right now we’re entering a feast for Silent Hill. The original games are the definition of creepy, and the polish of a modern remake is sure to get your heart rate up and your sleep interrupted.
